scholarship program begins

     Summer enrichment scholarships for Whatcom county public school students currently enrolled in grades 6 to 11 are available through Assistance League of Bellingham.
     Committee members work with school counselors to make sure students are aware of these opportunities.
     Almost any area in which students display a keen interest will be considered. Exclusions are sports, religious activities, transportation and anything held outside the country.
      Previous scholarships have been awarded in
areas such as leadership, music, dance, technology, art,
agriculture, theater, filmmaking and academics.
